South Mississippi's first New Year's baby born!

 South Mississippi's first New Year's baby was born this morning.

Nurses at Memorial Hospital in Gulfport have confirmed a baby was born at 4:01 a.m.

Right now we do not know the gender of the New Year's baby, or any other details.

Just after that, Forrest General Hospital welcomed it's first baby of the year at 4:18 a.m.

Also keep in mind Biloxi Regional will not be providing the media with any information on babies born New Year's Day as a safety precaution.
