OCEAN SPRINGS, MS (WLOX) - It turns out a device noticed on the railroad tracks this morning in Ocean Springs is a signal shunt device. It's a temporary patch that controls the crossing guard arms at Washington Ave and Highway 90. Because it's no longer suspicious, police have issued an all clear.

For part of the morning, Ocean Springs patrolmen kept an eye on that device. Until they could verify what it was, they kept cars away from the section of Frontage Road that leads to Lovers Lane. They also reached out to the Biloxi bomb squad just to verify if the device was dangerous.
