GULFPORT, MS (WLOX) - The storm that tore through Mississippi is racing toward the east coast. That could have a major impact on air travel over Christmas.
At Gulfport Biloxi International Airport, early morning flights to Charlotte and Dallas were canceled. Passengers are encouraged to contact the airlines and rebook those travel plans.
Severe storms in the South on Tuesday killed at least four people, damaged homes, businesses and cars, and knocked out power to thousands. The severe weather led to some delays at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. But airport spokesman Reese McCranie said a ground stop wasn't expected.
