SOUTH MISSISSIPPI (WLOX) - If you or someone you know is in need of a hot meal Christmas Day or looking for a volunteer opportunity, there are several community kitchens open.
Harrison County Volunteers to Feed the Needy needs help preparing and delivering food starting at 8 a.m. Christmas morning. Those who would like to volunteer can meet at the Lyman Community Center.
Also in Harrison County, the Gulf Coast Rescue Mission will host its annual Christmas meal. Lunch will be served from noon until 4 p.m. at the rescue mission located just off Debuys Road in Biloxi.
In Bay St. Louis, The King's Kitchen will begin serving its Christmas Day meal starting at 11:30 a.m. and will last until 1 p.m. It will be held at Central Bible Church on Pass Road.
Those looking for more than a hot meal on Christmas Day can head over to Caribbean Seafood Restaurant on Pass Road. Volunteers will be distributing warm clothes, blankets and a hot meal. The holiday celebration will begin at 1 p.m. and last until 3 p.m.
