Woman accused of taking nearly $2,000 in purses from T.J. Maxx

GULFPORT, MS (WLOX) -

An Alabama woman was arrested accused of taking several purses from T.J. Maxx in Gulfport on December 18 without paying for them. 

Gulfport police said Extentria Lashaun Williams, 44, of Mobile, AL walked into the store around 6 Thursday evening.
Management later called police about shoplifting in the store. When police arrived she was reportedly stopped and arrested while attempting to leave the store.

Police allege she tried leaving T.J. Maxx with the purses, valued at $1,600, without paying for them.

She now faces a charge of felony shoplifting and was taken to the Harrison County jail. Her $15,000 bond was set by Harrison County Justice Court Judge Brandon Ladner.
