Saints blow away the bad news Bears 31-15 in the Windy City on Monday Night Football

BILOXI, MS (WLOX) - A week after one of the most humiliating defeats suffered by a

Saints team in years, New Orleans bounced back under the win column in a big way against a very bad Chicago team.

Drew Brees was right on target...completing 29 of 36 passes for 375 yards and three touchdowns.

On the other side of the football...quarterback Jay Cutler was the focal point of the Bad News Bears.  He tossed 3 interceptions, 2 hauled in by Pierre Warren.

Cutler was sacked 7 times...David Hawthorne had three of those sacks and Junior Galette came up with two.

The 31-15 victory propels New Orleans a top the NFC South Division standings with 6 wins and 8 losses...a half-game in front of the 5-8 and 1 Carolina Panthers. Atlanta is 5 and 9.

The Saints entertain Atlanta Sunday at noon and close out regular season play on the road at Tampa Bay on December 28th.  Win out and the Saints wrap-up a playoff slot.
