SRHS signs memorandum to continue paying retirees for 90 days

JACKSON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) - Jackson County Supervisors and Singing River Health System (SRHS) officials signed a memorandum of understanding promising the pension plan will continue to pay out to SRHS retirees over the next 90 days.

In a release, the health system states the agreement means in that time they will make no moves to further dissolve the pension plan while supervisors continue their investigation of the hospital system's finances.

The Jackson County Board of Supervisors will hold a press conference Tuesday at 9 a.m. to discuss the board and the hospital system's plan moving forward.
