GULFPORT, MS (WLOX) -

Usually at this time of year, a story about a big guy carrying a bag filled with Nintendos has a much happier ending. But this story ends at the Harrison County Adult Detention Center.

Sunday night, Gulfport Police arrested Courtney Hooks, 34, as he was leaving the Walmart Supercenter on Highway 49. Investigators said he was spotted taking 12 Nintendo brand gaming systems worth about $2,500. Walmart managers called police, who were waiting for Hooks as he tried to leave the store.

The Montgomery, AL resident is charged with Felony Shoplifting. He's being held at the Harrison County Adult Detention Center in lieu of a $30,000 bond set by Justice Court Judge Brandon Ladner.
