JACKSON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) - Moss Point Fire Chief Tommy Posey tells WLOX News crews are still searching the waters of the Escatawpa River under Highway 63 for a possible bridge jumper.
Posey said the call came in around 2 p.m. Wednesday. He said the flotilla suspended the search around midnight, but resumed at sunrise Thursday.
Posey said crews will continue to comb the area until sundown Thursday, but will then probably have to call off the search.
The Mississippi Department of Marine Resources is assisting in the search with boats and additional manpower.
