It's an annual tradition. The City of Gautier is decked out for the holiday season. On Tuesday night, Gautier Mayor Gordon Gollott led the annual Christmas Tree lighting ceremony in the city.

Staff and dignitaries were recognized and acknowledged. After the lighting of the tree and lighted figures, fifth grade singers from the Pascagoula School District performed musical selections. Students from Gautier and Pascagoula elementary schools sang several Christmas carols for the crowd. Santa also made a visit into the town. And Gautier Mayor Gordon Gollott handed out candy canes.
