Gulfport students hold food drive to help others

GULFPORT, MS (WLOX) - North Gulfport Junior High School students are trying to help make the holidays a little easier for the homeless. Some eighth grade students are in the middle of a food drive. The donations will go to the Feed My Sheep kitchen in Gulfport.

Students hope the community will offer support by dropping off canned goods at the school's front office between now and Dec. 19.

"We just want to feed the homeless and feed the people who don't have food and help them as best we can," said student Eli Bosworth.

The school will also hold a blood drive on Dec. 19.
