In the Class 5A ranks, Picayune has the home field advantage hosting Wayne County. Last week the War Eagles defeated Gautier 56-20 while the defending 5A State Champion Maroon Tide under head coach Dodd Lee beat Pearl River Central 38-26. Picayune will use running backs Gerrell Keaton and Kardarious Cross to establish ball control to keep the football away from Wayne County's explosive offense.

Coach Lewis Sims and his Pascagoula Panthers travel to Laurel tonight. The Panthers eliminated West Jones last week 24-17 and lineup against an explosive Golden Tornadoes offense. Laurel whipped up a 71-41 win over East Central last Friday.
4A ranks, St. Stanislaus and Forrest County AHS hookup again in a 3rd round playoff game. The Aggies ended the Rockachaws 2013 season with a 49-42 decision handing St. Stanislaus its only loss of the season after the Rockachaws had won 12 straight games.
St. Stanislaus will have the home field advantage tonight and can count on sophomore quarterback Myles Brennan to get the ball in the end zone. Brennan has passed for 4,607 yards and 51 touchdowns.
We could see a Poplarville-St. Stanisalus rematch in the 4A South State championship game next Friday. The Hornets travel to Purvis where running back Malik Lucas will try cracking the end zone. The only loss suffered by St. Stanislaus was to Poplarville on October 17.
