Chase starts in Jackson County ends in Mobile, AL

MOBILE, AL (WLOX) - A chase that started in Jackson County, MS ended in Mobile, AL Thursday evening, according to Cherie Ward with the Jackson County Sheriff's Office.

Ward confirms the chase began sometime after 4 p.m. on Forts Lake Road in east Jackson County.

She said a deputy attempted to conduct a routine traffic stop, but the suspect reportedly fled in a black pick-up truck that was pulling a trailer.

The driver led the deputy all the way to the Mobile County, AL line where Mobile County Sheriff's deputies were called into the pursuit.

Mobile police say the chase ended after thesuspect crashed at the intersection of Cody and Grelot Roads in Mobile. Jackson County Sheriff's deputies are assisting Alabama authorities on this incident.
