Cold weather shelters open in South MS

SOUTH MISSISSIPPI (WLOX) -

As the cold weather moves into South Mississippi, shelters across the Coast are preparing to open for those who need a warm place to sleep.

Harrison County's cold weather shelter will open at 4 p.m. Thursday at the D'Iberville Multi-purpose Center behind city hall.

In Gulfport, The Salvation Army will be open from 4 p.m. to 8 a.m. Thursday and Friday nights. The Salvation Army Shelter in Pascagoula is located on Nathan Hale Avenue. Doors will open at 4:30 p.m.

Coast Transit Authority buses will provide transportation to all shelters for those who need it.
