As the state's political leaders make plans to spend more than $6 billion in state revenue next year, they will come up with that plan knowing they face the voters later in the year. In the 2015 election year, we are sure to hear proposals and plans for tax cuts and reduced government spending.
On the flip side, increased education funding is sure to be a big topic of discussion. State revenue is expected to increase at a modest pace with the state's economy.
Politicians will be faced with the same ole dilemma. How do they keep taxes low, fund everything they want to fund and still get re-elected? It will be interesting to see how that all works out in 2015.
