Which local high schools will receive reclassification for the 2015 school year?

BILOXI, MS (WLOX) -

When the 2015 high school football season kicks off, the George County Rebels most likely will jump up into the Class 6A ranks, based on enrollment at the high school. The Rebels have been competing in the Region 4-5A rank.

East Central is another South Mississippi high school that will most likely be reclassified.  The Hornets are presently competing in the Region 4-5A ranks and next season the Hornets could be playing in the Division 8-4A ranks.

Pearl River Central athletic director Andy Kivlan says the Blue Devils could may a move, but within the Class 5A ranks.  Pearl River Central is a presently a member of Region 3-5A and after two seasons, Kivlan says there's a possibility the Blue Devils might move back into the Region 4-5A ranks, replacing East Central when the Hornets drop down into Class 4A.

"Every time I meet with MHSAA member I always tell them that Pearl River Central should be placed back into Region 4-5A, "stated Kivlan.  "That's where we belong."

Pearl River Central has been playing in the Region 3-5A ranks the past two seasons and ended the regular season as the number 4 teams.  The Blue Devils will traveled to Picayune in the Class 5A playoffs Friday night at 7. The Maroon Tide captured the Region 4-5A title.
