Long Beach homicide victim identified

LONG BEACH, MS (WLOX) - A Long Beach woman found dead inside her home Tuesday morning has been identified as Kimberly Watts, 48. Her death is being investigated as a homicide.

Harrison County Deputy Coroner Brian Switzer said Watts was found by a family member inside her home on the 200 block of Woodcrest Drive. An autopsy is complete, but those results, including the cause of death, are not being released at this time.

Residents on Woodcrest Drive are mourning the loss of their neighbor. They say they are shocked to find that this is actually a homicide investigation at this point.

"Everyone on this block, we pretty much know each other. Plus, we have children of our own, so we're worried who or what it was. Who is lurking around?" one resident said.

Neighbors told WLOX News Watts was always friendly and had a son in college.
