JACKSON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) -

Highway 63 is open again, after being closed for several hours Tuesday morning.

Officials with the Jackson County Sheriff's Department closed down the north and southbound lanes of Highway 63 between Saracennia and Highway 613 around 4:30 a.m. because there was zero visibility from a mixture of smoke and fog. The smoke is coming from the fire that broke out in Helena Monday, and is still smoldering.

Officials tell WLOX News there was a chain reaction accident in that area. We are told as many as 15 cars are involved in this accident. There were no serious injuries.
