Optimism abounds for retailers as we enter the holiday shopping season. The National Retail Federation believes holiday sales for the 2014 holiday season will increase 4.1% over 2013 sales. The retail group says this would mark the first time since 2011 that holiday sales would increase more than 4% .
For the average store, the season yields about 20% of its annual income. We all want to be dollar wise in our gift buying. Whether you spend more, less or the same as last year, we hope that you will give serious consideration to shopping locally. When you shop locally, you are helping to boost the local economy.
That's our opinion, we would like to hear yours. Email your thoughts to email@example.com.
