BILOXI, MS (WLOX) - What will the Southern League call Biloxi's baseball team?  We expect to get that answer on November 24.

According to Biloxi baseball's general manager, the team name will be released at a news conference the Monday before Thanksgiving.

Earlier this year, the ballclub held a name the team contest. And these names were selected as the finalists:  Beacon, Black Jacks, Mullets, Schooners, Shrimpers, and Shuckers.

Which one do you like?  Which one will become the official name of Biloxi's baseball team? GM Buck Rogers tells WLOX News we're just three Mondays away from finding out.

Biloxi baseball's inaugural season is in 2015. A baseball stadium across from Beau Rivage is under construction. It's not slated to be finished until next August, putting a significant portion of the 2015 home schedule in jeopardy. Owners say they hope to be in the ballpark as close to the April's opening day as possible. They tell the Raycom News Network they have not ruled out playing part of the 2015 in Huntsville. That north Alabama city is where the Biloxi's baseball team has played the last several seasons.

Biloxi will be fined $10,000 per game for every home date not played at MGM Park.
