St. Stanislaus quarterback Myles Brennan has enjoyed a banner 2014 season. After 10 games, the 6-3, 175 pound sophomore has passed for 3-thousand-881 yards, 40 touchdowns and only 8 interceptions.
He's completing 69 percent of his pass attempts. Brennan ranks 2nd in the nation in passing and is coming off another stellar Friday Night.
Brennan completed 30 of 43 passes for 413 yards and six touchdowns leading the Rockachaws over Pass Christian 49-14 to claim the Mississippi Power Player of the Week honors. He credits head coach Bill Conides and the Rockachaws assistant coaches for his success.
Brennan said, "I couldn't do it without them and my surrounding teammates. It's not just about me it's just a team effort."
Coach Conides said, "You know early on in the season I really didn't want to put too much pressure on his plate. I said again, you're a Sophomore, we want to keep things simple and easy but I learned really quickly that he could process the reads and he had the composure and the poise to make all the plays."
St. Stanislaus has posted 9 wins and 1 loss, and placed second behind Poplarville in the Region 8-4A ranks. The Rockachaws host Mendenhall in the first round of the Class 4A playoffs Friday night.
"We're excited, "stated Brennan. "We have to take it one game at a time. We can't look too far ahead."
