MOSS POINT, MS (WLOX) - Folks across the coast looking to start a small business or expand their company got the information the needed in Moss Point Wednesday.
The City of Moss Point and the Jackson County Board of Supervisors sponsored the first regional business summit held at Pelican Landing.
More than 100 people attended the meeting and received valuable financial resources from several informational booths. They also got the chance to network with other small business owners.
The Jackson County Chamber of Commerce, Small Business Incubator, along with several industry experts also shared tips on how to be a standout business to attract and retain new customers.
Some business experts and investors also held a Shark Tank Competition for people to pitch their products. Organizers say those who participated could possibly be offered a deal later on down the road.
Organizers hope the information given out Wednesday will lure more entrepreneurs to set up shop in the city, especially with the new Pascagoula River Audubon Center opening in the city next year.
