LONG BEACH, MS (WLOX) - Long Beach Middle School students learned some sobering truths about drinking and drugs Wednesday, and it's all thanks to some very creative classmates.
Drama students presented a play called "The Quietest Room in Town." The play follows the story of a homecoming queen who made a bad choice to do drugs with some friends. The consequence of her action was a fatal traffic accident later that night.
The message was clear: it only takes one time for something very bad to happen.
"We are begging you to think about the decisions you make," said Lisa Starita, Long Beach Middle School guidance counselor, "and how it only takes one time."
Along with the play by Miss Lisa Russell's drama class, the students also heard an anti-drug message from a DEA agent.
