BILOXI, MS (WLOX) - Biloxi Councilman Kenny Glavan was charged with speeding and driving under the influence first offense in the early morning of March 12, 2014. He received his sentence for those crimes Wednesday.
For the DUI, he was sentenced to a $500 fine plus court costs. He must also attend a Victim Impact Panel class, safety education program and will have to turn in his license in exchange for a restricted one with an ignition interlock device in his car.
For speeding, he received a $100 fine plus court costs.
Glavan's attorney requested that he be non-adjudicated, but the judge denied his request. His attorney appealed.
Glavan and his attorney will have to go back to court at a later date.
