Meet the Candidates for Chancery Court Judge District 16 Place 1

On the ballot Tuesday voters will decide who will be Chancery Court Judge for District 16 Place 1. There are two candidates in this race.

The incumbent is Neil Harris. He has been a Chancery Court Judge over Jackson, George and Greene Counties since 2006. Harris is also a faculty member at the National Judicial College, as well as the Mississippi Judicial College in Oxford. He has been an attorney since 1982. 

Challenger Paula Yancey is currently the attorney for the Jackson County Board of Supervisors. She has been the board attorney for the last 16 years. In 2012, Yancey also served as Jackson County Administrator. She has been practicing law for 25 years.
