HANCOCK COUNTY, MS (WLOX) -

WLOX News has just received word from Mississippi Department of Transportation officials that road crews have finished up work on the Pearl River Bridge at the Mississippi/Louisiana state line.

Kelly Castleberry, with MDOT, tells us crews wrapped up the expansion joint repair work around 8 p.m. Sunday. The work was expected to last until 7 a.m. Monday, but crews got the work done in a hurry.

For South Mississippians traveling back to the Coast following the Saints game, that means traffic should not be as congested as it was earlier in the day.
