Coast high school students are getting a taste of college life this week.
Over a three-day period, 600 high school seniors will be visiting Missississippi Gulf Coast Community College doing activities and touring the campus.
Students from Harrison Central, D'Iberville, Mercy Cross, and Pass Christian High Schools visited the Jefferson Davis campus on Wednesday. These seniors say actually seeing the campus is helping them make some tough decisions.
"It's made me rally think about coming here," D'Iberville high senior Kelly Lynam said. "I think I will for two years and then transfer."
One of her classmates, Matthew Brooks, says he also likes what he sees at MGCC.
"Until now, I haven't thought of any type of colleges, and going to JD sounds pretty nice right now," Brooks said. "It's a nice environment, and the faculty and students are kind-of cool."
