HANCOCK COUNTY, MS (WLOX) - The Hancock County Food Pantry received a donation from the Beau Rivage employee giving campaign on Wednesday.
Food pantry leaders accepted a check for $5,000. Pantry officials say the donation will go a long way in feeding the needy.
"The timing is excellent," said Brent Woodfill, Executive Director at the food pantry. "We're going into the holiday season, and donations have been off a little bit. Now, we will be able to recover from some of those losses we've experienced."
Several Beau Rivage employees spent the day distributing the checks. Six other Coast charities received donations, including Hope Haven Children's Services.
