BILOXI, MS (WLOX) - A Biloxi man is behind bars after a search warrant served at his home turned up around five grams of heroin. That is according to Harrison County Sheriff Melvin Brisolara.
Officials tell us Nathan Michael Caillavet, 32, is charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.
Brisolara said Harrison County Narcotics Investigators and members of the Biloxi Police Department Crime Scene Unit served the search warrant at Caillavet's Cedar Lake Road home on Wednesday. Authorities say they found 43 individually packaged bags of heroin in the home.
"The packaging was indicative of illegal narcotics distribution," Brisolara said in a press release.
Brisolara said Caillavet is currently on probation through the Mississippi Department of Corrections for manufacturing methamphetamine. Caillavet is being held at the Harrison County Jail without bond.
