Jackson County Library System working to make Halloween fun and educational

JACKSON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) -

If you head over to a library in Jackson County, you can expect to see some fun Halloween displays that encourage people of all ages to read.

Tables filled with all types of scary and spooky reads are set up at all the Jackson County locations. Library officials say they are always looking for ways to promote literacy through family fun.

"During our season holiday, we try to put on public events that invite children and adults into the library," said Jackson-George Regional Library System spokesman Rex Bridges. "We integrate our programs with books and reading and all the other services we have here at the library. This year, we are having fright nights in Pascagoula and four nights of activities that include paranormal stories for adults."

For more information about the free Halloween programs, call the Pascagoula library at 228-769-3060.
