Tulane University's Mississippi Coast Campus in Biloxi will offer a special series of fall workshops starting Friday, Oct. 24. Each workshop will be taught by a Tulane professor.
The first workshop will take place on Oct. 24, and is called "Introduction to Grant Writing." This workshop will give participants a basic knowledge of how to start the grant writing process and will discuss which grants are good for your organization.
The second workshop will take place on Nov. 7, and is called "Getting to know your iPad II." The workshop will cover a wide spectrum of iPad features and capabilities such as the must have apps, security features, the control center, basic construction and layout, user settings and how to care for and clean the iPad.
The third workshop will take place on Nov. 21, and is called "Advanced Photoshop." This workshop will teach participants how to use layers, filters and special effects in Adobe Photoshop. Additional topics for this workshop include Microsoft Word and Excel.
The final workshop will take place on Dec. 5, and is called "The Online Experience.” The course will outline the internet and cover search engines, security and anti-virus protection, online shopping and social media.
All workshops will meet on Fridays from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The only cost is a $10 cash registration fee per session.
