'Where do I vote?' Find the answer online

JACKSON, MS (WLOX) - Mississippi Secretary of State Delbert Hosemann says it's the most frequently asked question his office receives on election day: "Where do I vote?" Now a new online service is making it easier than ever for Mississippians to find their precinct, as well as a copy of their specific ballot before heading to the polls.

Here is how it works:

  • Go to www.sos.ms.gov/pollingplace.
  • Enter your address into the respective fields by following the instructions at the top of the page.
  • The polling place locator will produce the address of your polling location, a Google map with directions to your polling place, your Circuit Clerk's contact information, and a sample ballot specific to your location.

"We encourage voters to make educated choices at the polls," Secretary Hosemann said. "By searching our polling locator and reviewing the ballot provided, you will be able to educate yourself not only on the actual races on the ballot, but also on the candidates prior to Election Day."

According to Hosemann, the polling place locator was created at no additional expense to taxpayers.
