MOSS POINT, MS (WLOX) - The body of a man who reportedly jumped from the Highway 613 bridge Sunday has been found.
Moss Point Police Chief Art McClung told WLOX News the Jackson County Sheriff's Search and Rescue Flotilla recovered the body from the Escatawpa River around 6pm Wednesday, just south of the bridge.
Jackson County Corner Vicki Broadus will be performing an autopsy, but Chief McClung wasn't sure when that would take place.
Sunday, the chief identified the man they were searching for as Lucedale resident Randy Bermilyea, 56. He had just been released from Singing River Hospital, and was being driven home when he asked to get out of the car to vomit. That's when, police said he jumped over the railing and into the water.
