BILOXI, MS (WLOX) -

Check out who's on the cover of Sports Illustrated again this week!

Even SI editors admit it's rare to put a team on the cover two weeks in a row, but they say the story of Mississippi State football, and by extension Ole Miss, has only gained momentum since last week's "Mississippi Mayhem" cover.

"The first story was two programs becoming national powerhouses at the same time. That then escalated last weekend into the second story: two programs that very well may be the best in the country. For Mississippi to go from unranked five weeks ago to No. 1 is a story that can't be ignored," said Managing Editor, Chris Stone.

In the October 20 issue, writer Andy Staples analyzes the success of both teams in his article "1 Mississippi, 2 Mississippi." Sports Illustrated editors say while the poll voters aren't sure who's better, they do agree on one thing: the state of Mississippi is No. 1.

By the way, if you couldn't find a copy of last week's "Mississippi Mayhem" issue, you'll get another chance to buy one. Sports Illustrated announced Tuesday that a new shipment of the magazine has been sent to retailers to meet demand.
