Cruisin' the Coast is now in full swing. More than 6,300 registered classic cars have converged on the coast for the eight day event. That does not include the hundreds of cars that come here and don't register.
All of the visitors share one thing in common. They spend a lot of money on their visit here. We talked with several cruisers today, some saying they have spent about $300 while others say they will spend in excess of $2000 during the cruisin' events.
Woody Bailey, Cruisin' the Coast organizer, estimates the economic impact of cruising the coast at about $25 million dollars. While here, the cruisers spend money on food, lodging, gas, as well as several other things.
