GULFPORT, MS - Fifteen Seabees from the Naval Construction Battalion Center in Gulfport are stationed at Camp Lemonnier in Liberia.

The group from NMCB-133 is working to build a hospital to help stem the deadly Ebola outbreak.

The engineering team will conduct site surveys, then build a 22-million dollar hospital.

Officials say the Seabees are taking health precautions.

Military officials say the service members are given equipment, and training based on their mission and location prior to their deployment.

This is so the training matches their circumstance and potential exposure to the Ebola virus.

U.S. officials say that troops will not directly treat patients and, all who deploy will have protective gear to prevent infection.

Before the Seabees return home, the team will be screened for any health concerns.
