SOUTH MISSISSIPPI (WLOX) - The upcoming general election is November 4. If you planning on voting and haven't already registered, the deadline is this Saturday, October 4.
You must fill out a voter registration application that you may print out online or find at your Circuit Clerk's Office. Click here to figure out where your Circuit Clerk's Office is located. The forms must be turned in to your Circuit Clerk's Office before or on the October 4 deadline.
"Every Mississippian should be registered to vote," says Secretary of State Delbert Hosemann. "This is a privilege that comes at the cost of countless men and women who have given their lives for our Country. You can honor their sacrifice by registering to vote today."
According to the Secretary of State's Office, voters must register at least 30 days prior to election day. Application's that are received after October 4 will be processed, however the voter won't be allowed to cast a ballot in the November 4, 2014 general election.
Those eligible military and overseas voters will be given an extended registration period in Mississippi. The deadline for military and overseas voters to register to vote is October 25, 2014.
