OCEAN SPRINGS, MS (WLOX) - Beautiful blooms will help spread the word about "Breast Cancer Awareness Month" in October.

The "Ocean Springs Garden Club" planted pink Snapdragons in the shape of a ribbon. The planting is at the corner of Washington Avenue and Highway 90 in Ocean Springs.

There's another one at the Ocean Springs Imaging Center on Bienville Boulevard. The project is part of the "Plant It Pink" campaign.

The garden club will also host fundraisers to help cancer patients in Jackson County pay for expenses that are not covered by insurance.
