MDOT crews preparing for Cruisin' the Coast could cause delays

HARRISON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) - Drivers can expect to run into traffic delays along Highway 90 in Harrison County over the next week or so. This week, Mississippi Department of Transportation crews started a project to prepare for Cruisin' the Coast.

They're milling and repaving sections of the highway where there are bumps and dips. They're concentrating on areas where pipes underneath the road may have leaked or cracked. They're also removing sand from the road as part of the maintenance project.

Cruisin' the Coast starts Oct. 5.
