Officials: No bomb at St. Martin High, students return to class

ST. MARTIN, MS (WLOX) -

St. Martin High School students have returned to class after the all clear was given following a bomb threat Thursday morning. That is according to St. Martin School District Assistant Superintendent Dr. Mike Van Winkle.

Sheriff Charles Britt said a threatening note stating a bomb was in the school was found around 10:20 a.m.

That is when students were evacuated while sheriff's deputies and the department's explosive detecting K9, Aragon, investigated the campus.

Britt said the incident remains under investigation.

    Surveillance cameras captured someone opening fire at a gas station in Jasper. Police are looking for one of the people they said opened fire on Friday night, while the other is still in a hospital.
