Local museums working toward single pass

BILOXI, MS (WLOX) -

Four South Mississippi museums are working toward a pass that would work at all locations.

The marketing plan is between the Biloxi Maritime and Seafood Industry Museum, the Ohr-O'Keefe Museum, and the Biloxi lighthouse and visitor's center, as well as the Walter Anderson Museum of Art in Ocean Springs.

Visitors will be able to purchase a single pass for $20. That price includes admission to all four attractions. Because buying individual tickets to each attraction would cost $38, this pass would also save tourists money.

"We are really excited about kicking that off," said Robin Krohn David with the Biloxi Maritime and Seafood Industry Museum. "We hope to get it off the ground in about two weeks, in time for Cruisin' the Coast, another big tourism event here on the coast. And we're excited to partner together to help give a little bit better opportunity for everyone to visit all of our museums."

The single pass will be promoted as "visiting four museums within four miles." If successful, it might be expanded in the future to include other area attractions.
