D'Iberville's Rob Moore named Mississippi Power Player of the Week

D'IBERVILLE, MS (WLOX) - In D'Iberville's dominating performance over the Hurricanes, Warriors defensive back and wide receiver Rob Moore excelled.

He hauled in 2 passes for 91 yards, highlighted by this 56 yard touchdown reception.

Prior to the long TD pass play from quarterback Peyton Stenum...Moore intercepted West Harrison, as the Warriors defense limited the Hurricanes to only 55 yards of total offense on the night.

Moore got the job done on offense, defense and special teams. He returned 2 punts for 48 yards, the big one...a 40 yard touchdown gallop. Rob Moore is the Mississippi Power Player of the Week.

Moore said,(201:09) It was a big game for the team and me personally. We came out with a plan to execute on all cylinders, offense, defense, no matter who we were playing. We just wanted to come out and get the win."

Coach Singleton said,'(203:19) He's a three year starter. He was primarily a defensive back. We had some injuries the last couple of weeks and he's been playing on both sides of the ball.

He does a lot for use. He's on our kick off team. He's one of those guys who never comes out of the ball game."

The Warriors open Region 4-6A play Friday night hosting arch-rival Biloxi.

"It's just means a lot being that I've never lost to them and I don't play to lose to them this year,"stated Moore.

Rob Moore is one of those special players, this week's Mississippi Power Player of the Week.
