Biloxi Pulls Away From Hattiesburg Winning The 5A State Championship Title

Coach John Pugh and his Biloxi Indians completed their mission, claiming the 5A State Champion beating Hattiesburg 65 to 55 in Jackson's Mississippi Coliseum. It's the first state title for Biloxi since the Indians won back-to-back state championships in 1989 and 1990.

The Indians close out the season with 28 wins and 10 losses. The Tigers state championship drought continues. They haven't won the Golden Ball since 1974 and close out a super season with 33 wins and 7 losses.

Chey Christie the soft spoken senior was the leader for Biloxi all season and left his mark heading to Clemson after signing with the ACC school during the early signing period.
