Beach Improvements being made in Pascagoula

Pascagoula leaders are working to improve that city's waterfront. You may have seen parts of the beach closed and crews out working recently. City Director Darcie Crew said it's all a part of grand vision to improve the usability of the beach.

"There is going to be a new waterline run and that means an outdoor shower and water fountains right here on the promenade as well as a waterline for the pier, lighting for the pier so we can keep it open at night and fishermen can come out  at nighttime and enjoy the pier," said Crew.

People can check out the beach improvements Friday night at free family movie night at the beach. The movie being shown is "The Croods." It will begin at 8:15 p.m.
