The "Dak Attack" at MSU features quality receivers and running backs

STARKVILLE, MS (WLOX) -

Mississippi State quarterback Dak Prescott is the backbone of the Bulldogs offensive attack. The field general can drop back or roll out and find a host of game breaking receivers.

Prescott tossed four TD passes on Saturday, highlighted by De'Runnya Wilson and Fred Ross. Wilson hauled in a pair of touchdown passes and Ross caught one from Prescott and another one from Damian Williams.

Prescott, the junior quarterback from Haughton, Louisiana knows he has an exceptional array of wide outs.

Prescott said,"I've talked about them all off-season, spring and summer. De'Runnya had a great game, Fred Ross, Fred Brown. You name it. We didn't get the ball to Jameon Lewis as much as we would have liked to but even when he had the ball in his hands he looked good. They all stepped up and showed you the versatility of the corps."

Fred Ross a 6-2, 205 pound sophomore from Tyler,Texas displayed the ability to pick up yards after catch and give Prescott another game breaking weapon. Coach Dan Mullen says he's recovering from an injury and isn't at 100 percent.

"He's a little bit banged up,"stated Mullen. He added,"I still don't know if he's at a hundred percent, but he's close, healthy right now. A little injury he had during training camp got tweaked up a little bit, but wasn't a serious thing. The second catch was spectacular there at the end of the game. Went up there and in coverage and made a play and that's good to see us going those things."

The Bulldogs spread the football to an array of receivers including the running backs and the Golden Eagles defense was unable to contain Mississippi State's offense, one that piled up 349 yards through the air and 201 yards on the ground.

Mississippi State tackles UAB in Starkville Saturday afternoon at one.  The Blazers blasted Troy 48 to 10.
