WLOX Editorial: Call DIRECTV & say you want WLOX back

For those who watched WLOX through the DIRECTV system, the WLOX signal was removed from the DIRECTV system after midnight August 31st. This is due to a lack of an agreement between our parent company, Raycom Media, and DIRECTV corporate.

I appreciate the loyalty of all the viewers and apologize to those DIRECTV viewers who can not watch us. I know many of you are passionate about getting your news and weather and the shows on ABC and CBS from WLOX.

If you would like to call DIRECTV and express your concern about losing WLOX from your channel lineup, here's the phone number 1-800-531-5000. You are paying to receive WLOX. Ask them for a credit or rebate.

You also have choices. WLOX still has agreements with other carriers and is free over the air via an antenna.
