Magic Mike sequel crews look for extras in Savannah

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

An open casting call took place in Forsyth Park on Sunday for the Magic Mike sequel. Crew members were looking for background talent for the upcoming movie.

Magic Mike 2 was specifically looking for people of all shapes and sizes to play the roles of club patrons, restaurant patrons, and beach goers.

The call was for talent ages 21 and older, of all ethnicities, and body types.

"I love Savannah, we're primed for a good big studio feature, so it's exiting to have Magic Mike shooting here," said Chad Darnell.

Each person was asked to give a recent picture of themselves with their name, email address, phone number, and height and weight, marked on the back.

The pictures did not have to be professional head shots.

"I think that it's going to be really great, and I think it's just a good opportunity just to get your name out there, have fun, and support my hometown of Savannah," said local Fallon Brown.

Filming for Magic Mike 2 is scheduled to start in the fourth week of September.

Many of the locations are going to be private, so there is no word on where the filming will be in Savannah.

Thanks to the over 1,000 people who came to the open call on Sunday. If you missed out, you can still email your photos to MagicMikeExtras@gmail.com with the following information:
