BILOXI, MS (WLOX) - A former Gautier High School assistant principal is accused of kidnapping, sexually assaulting and beating a woman, according to authorities with the Biloxi Police Department.

Lt. Chris DeBack said George Lee Parks III, 43, was arrested on Thursday and charged with kidnapping, sexual battery and aggravated assault.

DeBack said Biloxi police responded to a reported assault at the Biloxi Regional Medical Center on Wednesday. Officials say a 20-year-old woman being treated at the hospital for several injuries claimed Parks sexually and physically assaulted her while holding her at a Biloxi home, against her will, for more than 12 hours.

Authorities said Parks was found with crack cocaine on him, so he is also charged with possession of cocaine with intent.

DeBack said Parks is being held at the Harrison County Adult Detention Center on a $1,525,000 bond.
