WLOX Editorial: A message to our DIRECTV viewers

For those of you who watch WLOX through the DIRECTV system, there is a chance our signal will be removed from the DIRECTV system after midnight August 31st. This is due to a lack of an agreement between our parent company, Raycom Media, and DIRECTV corporate.

I appreciate the loyalty of all the our viewers and apologize in advance to those DIRECTV viewers who may not be able to watch us. I know many of you are passionate about getting your news and weather from WLOX. You like our newscasters and you like many of the shows WLOX provides from ABC and CBS.

If you would like to call DIRECTV and express your concern about possibly losing WLOX from your channel lineup, here's the phone number 1-800-531-5000. You are paying to receive WLOX.  Ask DIRECTV for a credit or rebate.

You also have choices. WLOX still has agreements with other carriers and is free over the air via an antenna.

If you would like to respond to us, you can click on the link below and send an email. Or send a letter to WLOX, 208 DeBuys Road, Biloxi, MS 39531.

That's our opinion, we would like to hear yours. Email your thoughts to editorials@wlox.com.
