Biloxi bait shop about to open in harbor

The bait and fuel dock being built in the Biloxi Small Craft Harbor will be opening soon. If you've been by the harbor you've seen the 18 hundred square foot building being built.

The new one towers over the harbor because it has been built about 19 feet up in the air. Hurricane Katrina destroyed the original bait shop nine years ago.

The longtime operator of Biloxi Harbor Fuel and Bait, Pat Kuluz, said he hopes to be moved in to the new shop by this weekend. He has been operating out of a temporary location in a portable building located next to the boat ramp.

Kuluz has owned and operated the bait shop at the Biloxi Small Craft Harbor since 1980.
